About Our Doctors
Mary Press, DVM grew up in Marin, graduating from San Marin High School in 1986. She majored in Zoology at UC Berkeley and graduated in 1990. She studied veterinary medicine at Tufts Veterinary School in Boston, MA, and graduated in 1994. She then completed an internship specializing in small animal medicine and surgery in Sacramento.
She currently lives in Tiburon with her husband Curtis (who is also a veterinarian). She has five children, the oldest daughter is currently studying at Texas A&M School of Veterinary Medicine and her oldest son is studying law at Santa Clara School of Law. She also resides with a parrot, two hairless cats , three dogs and a Flemish Giant bunny. Mary is an active member of the MCVMA, Corinthian Yacht Club, Mount Carmel Church, and Tamalpais ultra running group, qualifying for the Western States Endurance Race multiple times and does 6am Yoga Monday thru Friday.

Maggie McDermott, DVM is originally from Rockville, Maryland. She graduated from the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in 2005. That same year, she moved to San Francisco, where she currently lives with her husband, 3 kids, 2 dogs, one hairless cat and 2 goldfish. Dr. McDermott joined the team at Larkspur Landing Veterinary Hospital in 2006. Her professional interests include dermatology, dentistry, and small animal surgery. In her free time, she loves to hike, read, and go on adventures with her family and her dogs
Dr. Miriam Feller, DVM was born and raised in San Francisco. After graduating from Lowell High School in 2007, Miriam went to UC Santa Cruz for her undergraduate studies, where she earned her Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. She then went to Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine, graduating with her DVM degree in 2018. Miriam joined Twin Cities Vet Hospital in 2022, after having spent the last four years working with Dr. Mary Press' husband, Dr. Curtis Press, at Mission Pet Hospital in San Francisco. She lives with her dog Ripley in San Francisco. In addition to working with animals, Miriam enjoys hiking, playing the cello, and cooking.
